Xbox Live Arcade's Indie Uprising is one of the most democratic promotions in the industry, with the eight games available being culled from a list of 70 nominees and voted on by fans. Today, the event kicks off with Raventhorne, a 2D hack n' slasher that shows off a deep combat system, magic, and a very intriguing visual style.

Raventhorne will set you back a paltry 240 MS points, a great deal by any measure.
