Gears Of War 3 Gains Casual Mode, Old Spice Dude

If you're anything like me, you like going online to test the skills you honed in a game's single-player in multiplayer. Sometimes, however, the competition is too much for the new, less competitive crowd. Thankfully, Epic Games is implementing a casual mode for both Gears of War 3's single- and multiplayer.

We spoke with a Microsoft representative at the San Diego Comic-Con today for some new details. Casual mode is designed for folks who didn't take on the Locust in Gears 1 and 2, sporting an aim-assist to make things a bit easier. As mentioned before, it will also have multiplayer channels specifically for newcomers. No more instant chainsaw deaths upon respawning.

As an added bonus, Isaiah Mustafa, the "I'm on a horse" guy from the hilarious Old Spice commercials, will be the voice of the next unfortunate Carmine character. Regarding the new cast member, Cliffy B said, ”The cast just keeps getting sexier and sexier.”
