Doom 4 Not Listed For QuakeCon 2011

Id Software's annual QuakeCon event is a fan favorite – and we're sure a lot of fans were hoping that details on Doom 4 would be announced, but this year's festival will center around Bethesda/id games on the near horizon.

Bethesda has sent out a press release with the itinerary of events at QuakeCon 2011 (Aug. 4-7 in Dallas, Texas), and neither Doom 4 nor any Quake titles are among the listed games.

Id's John Carmack will give the keynote and Bethesda's Todd Howard will show off The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, while Prey 2 (shown above) and Rage will also be in attendance. It's possible that Doom 4 will be a surprise for convention goers during Carmack's keynote, but we'll just have to wait and see.
