Yakuza Series Has Shipped Over 5 Million Copies

Sega announced that its Japan-set brawler saga has passed the 5 million shipped mark (not necessarily sold). This milestone was accomplished with the help of zombies.

The latest entry in the Yakuza series, Yakuza: Of the End, throws out all pretense and lets zombies loose in Kamurocho. Instead of utilizing the series' traditional melee battle system, hero Kazuma Kiryu switches over to a large arsenal of guns.

Sega says that Of the End has shipped over 400,000 copies since its release in early June in Japan. The company has not announced whether this entry will make its way out west or not. If you're curious about it, check out this extended gameplay demo from MichaelXboxEvolved.
