Pre-Order Skyrim, Get A World Map
By all accounts the world in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is going to be a big and dangerous place. Sure, you could use the fancy new in-game map to find your way around, but it's just not the same as the real thing. Bethesda knows the value of a paper map, which is why the company is packing one into every pre-ordered copy of Skyrim.
Bethesda's blog states that the map will be of "premium quality," as is a Bethesda tradition with The Elder Scrolls games, and will be available regardless of where you pre-order the game. The map should also come in handy for players who want the real travel experience, i.e., unfolding a giant, cumbersome map and then standing on a street corner like a befuddled idiot while you try to figure out which way north is as disgruntled natives elbow past you, muttering obscenities. At least in Skyrim you can retaliate by striking them down with a wicked two-handed magic attack. After you fold up your map again, that is.
