Crysis 2's 1.9 Patch "A Gift" For High-End PC Users
The Crysis series is equated with great graphics, but Crysis 2's cross-platform development brought the PC version's graphics down from the usual high standards – until now.
Developer Crytek is releasing a 1.9 patch on June 27 for Crysis 2 that will give the PC version of the game DirectX 11 support and a bunch of other technical stuff to make the PC game look great once again.
"This is much more like a gift to the high-end community," Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli told Gamasutra. "And I think gamers will appreciate that. It lifts up Crysis 2 and gives a sneak peak of how PC gaming will evolve in the future, if you support a high-end preference."
