Portal 2 Sales Top 3 Million Copies
The eighth annual Games for Change Festival, a show dedicated to supporting games that make a social impact, entered its final day today. Valve's Gabe Newell was one of the speakers, and he dropped a little interesting information: Portal 2 has sold 3 million copies since its April 18 release.
To put that number into perspective, the first game sold around 4 million copies by the time the sequel launched, though Valve didn't include Steam sales in that figure. Newell didn't elaborate on the Portal 2 numbers, so we don't know if he's talking about sales across the board or just in retail. Regardless, that's a solid number.
