Weekend Warrior 05/27/11

by Annette Gonzalez on May 27, 2011 at 02:00 PM

A three-day weekend is among us! Tell us what you're playing this Memorial Day weekend in the comments section!

Kato: Going to spend a fair amount of time playing L.A. Noire. Right now I’m almost to the end of the Homicide desk. I want to search the map more for garages/cars, film reels, and landmarks. I don’t know about you, but I’m finding that the film reels are impossible to find. I could go online and find all the locations through a FAQ, but that defeats the purpose in my mind.

Jeff C: I’m still slogging through L.A. Noire between sessions of Pinball FX 2. Let’s just say that I’m more likely to be mistaken for a pinball wizard than a top-notch detective. Oh well.

Jeff M: This weekend I plan on playing a bunch more L.A. Noire. Jeff Cork has also been hounding me to play more of the new Fantastic Four table on Pinball FX 2 for some reason…I think he gets some kind of perverse pleasure out of me beating his scores. But I’m not one to judge his twisted fetish, so I’ll oblige him by playing more pinball this weekend as well.

Tim: I’ve finally conquered Final Fantasy X. It was an amazing game and I’m ecstatic that it’s finally under my belt. Now that it’s finished I can officially focus on L.A. Noire. I was able to finish the first few missions the other evening, and I absolutely adored it. I’m bad at it, but I like it. On top of that I want to play some Minecraft and Spirit Tracks!

Annette: This weekend I plan on giving Infamous another go before the sequel comes out in a couple weeks. I got a chance to preview the game last month and am really looking forward to getting my hands on Infamous 2.

Phil: I’m playing two review games this weekend that I can’t talk about! Secrets! But when I’m not playing those, I’ll be continuing my swift progress in L.A. Noire and probably spending more time with Fieldrunners on iPad, which has reignited my on-again, off-again love affair with tower defense games.

Dan: I’m on news duty this weekend, so that’ll keep me busy during the day. As for the night, I’m going to a karaoke bar tonight and then another one tomorrow for a going-away celebration. I plan on spending Memorial Day continuing L.A. Noire. I feel I’m nearing the end of the homicide desk. Downloaded The Witcher 2, so I might pour a few hours into that as well.

That's it for us. What are you playing this weekend?
