Weekend Warrior 05/20/11
Find out what games the Game Informer staff is playing this weekend, then share your game plan in the comments section!
Reiner: Judgment Day: Likely dying in lava. If the world doesn’t end, I’m going to play through Infamous 2’s evil path (I already finished good), and will devote the rest of my time to LA Noire.
Jeff C: This weekend, I’ll be bouncing back and forth between L.A. Noire and Pinball FX 2. L.A. Noire is pretty good so far, but it requires a level of attention that I can’t always scrape together. Instead, I find myself trying to beat Jeff M. on at least one stupid table. So frustrated…
Bryan: I’m playing so much L.A. Noire! Gotta get through all those Xbox 360 disks.
Tim: So I’ve been cranking away at Final Fantasy X for awhile now. Normally, I’d feel a tinge of guilt for missing out on a modern hit like LA Noire, but catching up on this classic is immensely fulfilling. So much so that I returned Dragon Age II back to the GI Vault because I’m digging FF X so much more. Now I see what everyone was talking about. Also, I hope to play some Minecraft with the Overblood Facebook group.
Annette: I unfortunately haven't snagged a copy of L.A. Noire quite yet, so I'll probably spend some time digging through my backlog. I may finally get to dig into Portal 2 co-op as well.
Jeff M: This weekend I plan on playing more L.A. Noire. I’ve been playing just an hour or two every night, and I’m loving the emphasis on detective work and investigation, but I’m still a little bummed out by the linearity. When I’m not playing L.A. Noire, I’ll probably spend some more time trying out the new Fantastic Four table for Pinball FX 2 in hopes of decimating Reiner’s new high score.
Ben Hanson: This weekend will be spent deep in the mines. I need a canary to warn me when I’ve played an unhealthy amount of Minecraft…mine comedy. I was really looking forward to the release of Darkspore, but I haven’t even booted it up yet. I’m hoping to convince a couple friends of mine to pick it up so that I can dive in and get the full experience. After Adam’s glowing review, I may also have to spend some time this weekend with Witcher 2. Oh, and I just received the first disc of Dragon Ball Z Kai in the mail, so I might have to geek out and spend a day seeing how they recut one of my favorite old shows. Have a good weekend!
