To build up anticipation for L.A. Noire’s release on May 17, Rockstar Games has teamed up with crime novel publisher Mulholland Books to release a series of short eBook publications. These racy thrillers are now ready to assault your boredom.

Last week, Rockstar announced L.A. Noire: The Collected Stories – a collection of eight shorts from some of the best crime, thriller, and mystery authors in contemporary fiction. Now the first two selections, “What’s In A Name?” by Jonathan Santlofer, and “The Girl” by Megan Abbott, are free to read online. If nothing else check out the slick cover mockups on Rockstar’s L.A.
