Downloadable Saints Row Title May Be Canceled

Saints Row: Drive-By was part of THQ's effort to expand its properties with downloadable entries, but an online resume recently listed the project as canceled.

The LinkedIn resume of THQ's Scott Rogers lists the cancellation of the game for PSN and XBLA. The reasons behind the cancellation – or whether the game's 3DS incarnation is affected – have not been revealed. One possibility is that the harsh reception of the Red Faction downloadable game, Battlegrounds, scared THQ away from similar projects.

So this is probably going to end with disappointment for Saints Row fans...but that also would have been the case if Drive-By wasn't good, so maybe THQ is taking the safest way out of this one.
