Capcom Ships Two Million Copies Of MvC3

Back in November, Capcom said that they expected Marvel vs. Capcom 3 to sell two million units. We're a month and a half removed from its launch, and they've now shipped that amount.

It reaches this milestone slower than Street Fighter IV (which did it in 11 days), but faster than Super Street Fighter IV (which is sitting at 1.6 million units as of last month). By shipping two million units, it's already bigger than Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was in its entire lifetime. These numbers point towards a new interest in fighting games, which will no doubt be helped out by next month's Mortal Kombat and the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken.
