Gears Of War 3 To Be Featured In Upcoming Pro Gamer Film

Gears of War fans who are eager to see Epic's popular franchise hit the big screen are finally getting their wish granted – but probably not in the way that they were hoping.

Wunderkind Pictures announced today that Gears of War 3 will be a central game in the upcoming film N00BZ, which will begin production in May. The movie will follow a group of friends as they attempt a trek to Las Vegas to compete as professional gamers.

According to the announcement, N00BZ "will finally give casual and hardcore online gamers – the fastest growing segment of the video game industry – a film to call their own." Just what we've been looking for!

The only other film currently in the works from Wunderkind Pictures is the upcoming documentary/comedy Gawd Bless America. N00BZ will be directed by the same guy, Blake Freeman, but it's not entirely clear on if it will be another documentary/mockumentary, a more traditional comedy, or perhaps an intense sports drama.
