What is the Game Informer staff playing this weekend? Read the post to find out then head over to the comments section and tell us what your weekend gaming plans are!
Kato: Making my way through The DaVinci Code DLC for Brotherhood, not to mention the multiplayer component. I played some of the new Assassin multiplayer free-for-all maps last night, and although I only played two sessions, I suck. Hey, at least I'm giving the rest of the group an easy target. After all, if you can't give back in this world, then you're just a selfish ***. I'm also going to be doing a lot of racing in Shift 2 for the upcoming review, so that should be a lot of fun.
Jeff C: I'm a little overwhelmed with games this week, so I don’t even know where to start. I'm having a lot of fun with Torchlight, but I should probably wrap up Dead Space 2. Maybe I'll just play a bunch of You Don't Know Jack instead. Then there's Beyond Good & Evil HD. That one is starting to feel like a chore. I didn't play it when it came out, so I don't have fond memories of it. It's certainly charming, but it's clearly an artifact from an earlier day. And not necessarily in a good way. Oh, well.
Annette: Dead Space 2, LittleBigPlanet 2 online co-op with nephews back home, Black Ops multi, and I keep inexplicably putting this off, but ME 2 DLC (finally). I had originally planned to get out for a bit and run some errands this weekend, but I took care of them during my lunch break, so I may just stay locked up in my castle (apartment) for the next couple days.
Tim: I downloaded Trine again with hopes to actually complete it this time. Considering Amnesia: The Dark Descent is behind me, I don't have any excuse to put it off. I'd really like to get my hands on some Dragon Age II, also. Oh yeah, one more thing, I'm going to attempt to get all the star coins in New Super Mario Bros. Wii this weekend!
Meagan: This weekend I'm on news duty, but I plan on taking in a few missions in Red Dead Redemption between stories. I'm just getting to all the good stuff after making it to Mexico. If my horse doesn't decide to drown itself again, I expect I'll have a good time.
Jeff M: Between playing Dead Space and LittleBigPlanet on my PS3 (not to mention using Sony's superior version of Netflix for streaming movies), it's been about two weeks since I've even turned on my 360. This weekend I plan to change that when I check out Torchlight. I must confess that I never played Diablo, and based on the buzz around the office, Torchlight captures the same addictive formula, so I'm looking forward to seeing what the fuss is all about.
Phil: Dragon Age II, Dragon Age II, and more Dragon Age II. If this entry isn't enough to tell you how hooked I am, you could look at my in-game clock, which is already at 14 hours from two days of playing it. If I ever step out of Kirkwall this weekend, I might log in to Rift or continue wrapping up some end/post-game treasure hunting in Dragon Quest VI, but...well, that isn't too likely.
Ben Hanson: This weekend I will be reacquainting myself with my original Shepherd as I finally get around to playing through the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC for Mass Effect 2. I hope to also spend some more time with PixelJunk Shooter 2. The competitive multiplayer is fantastic and it deserves more attention. Add me as Yozetty_ if you want to play a match or two. On the handheld side of things, I will most likely continue playing the delightful groove that is Tiny Wings for the iPhone. It is a strange fusion of Canabalt and Excite Bike...if that makes sense. This probably goes without saying, but I will (as always) be playing Words with Friends. Jeff Marchiafava has become my arch-nemesis in that game, our matches are as intense as King Kong fighting a V-Rex. I'm the V-Rex in this analogy, except that I win. Jeff Marchiafava is Kong, because he has a thing for blondes and never stops talking about how much he hates biplanes.
That's it for us. What are you up to this weekend?
