Activision: Black Ops Is The Best-Selling PS3 Game Ever

We already knew that Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops performed like gang busters on the store shelves. What we didn’t know, until now, is that it is outdid every other PS3 game ever, according to Activision.

The mega publisher itself said that Black Ops is the “Number one best-selling PlayStation 3 title ever.” They didn’t produce any internal sales numbers, however, insisting that statistics trackers like NPD Group, Chart-Track, and GfK did the work for them.

The quote comes from the press release Activision distributed reminding folks that the game’s First Strike DLC is out for PS3 today.
