Nintendo 3DS AR Titles Leaked?
Speaking to Wired.com, an anonymous source shared what appears to be the full roster of augmented reality games that will come preloaded on the Nintendo 3DS at launch.
Bundled as the pack-in title AR Games, six unique experiences are expected, but only Archery has been officially showcased thus far. According to Wired’s source, the five unannounced games include AR Shot, Fishing, Graffiti, Mii Pics, and Star Pics. He or she notes that the titles were “pulled back” by Nintendo prior to release, so the final list may not be set in stone, nor the titles finalized.
According to the description provided, AR Shot (pictured above) is a pool/golf hybrid that capitalizes on the terrain of your environment. Fishing seems to be rather straightforward, aside from the inclusion of sharks, and Graffiti is a 3D art application with various paint brushes and effects. Lastly, Star Pics and Mii Pics appear to be photo ops for famous Nintendo figures and your personal Mii brigade. Wired reached out to Nintendo to comment on the validity of the leak, but it declined to comment.
Head over to Wired’s GameLife Blog for a full breakdown of the leaked AR titles.
The Nintendo 3DS launches this weekend in Japan and in North America on March 27.
