Warren Spector Writing Duck Tales

It may not be the video game he always wanted to make, but at least the Epic Mickey creator gets to tell his story in comic books.

BOOM! Studios just announced that Warren Spector will be writing a brand new ongoing Duck Tales comic book series. In a recent interview with Game Informer, Spector expressed his excitement for the possibility of one day doing a Duck Tales video game. We'd like to take this moment to point out that such a thing would be incredibly awesome.

However, in the meantime, geek culture will have to make do with Spector writing an extended run on a new Duck Tales comic book. The new series will begin this May, with art drawn by Miquel Pujol. Perhaps if the comic gets some attention, Disney may consider Spector's proposition to do a game based on the franchise.

We suspect that the story of the new comic may involve Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, and Louie as they solve a mystery. They may also do some rewriting of history as they make their way through tales of derring-do. Not expected to appear are pony tails or cotton tails. You heard it here first.
