Introducing Double Fine's First Kinect Game

Psychonauts and Stacking creators Double Fine continues its break-neck development pace with the announcement of its first Kinect title: Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster.

Warner Bros. Interactive is publishing the fall game, and no, this isn't some dark take on the Sesame Street world – this is straight up a Sesame Street game where Elmo and friends jump into the fairy tale world of a book entitled Once Upon a Monster and lots of friendship, life lessons, and learning ensues.

"Sesame Street had a profound effect on me, and many members of the Double Fine team, when we were children," says Double Fine president and CEO Tim Schafer, "So did video games. Now many of us are parents and we want to share with our kids the great experiences we had, but also the completely new ones made possible by cutting-edge technology like Kinect for Xbox 360. So it's a labor of love on many levels."

I wonder how many Tim Schafer die-hards will buy this game just because it's Double Fine...
