Dead Space: Extraction PSN Release Confirmed

Sony official blogger Rey Gutierrez dropped the news that the lightgun-style shooter will be available on PSN as well as in the previously announced collector's edition of Dead Space 2 for PS3.

Where? Of all places, in the comments section on the PlayStation Blog. Responding to reader AEREC's question about Extraction coming to PSN, Gutierrez said, "Simple answer, yes. Expect it on PSN. More details soon."

We didn't love Dead Space: Extraction in its original Wii form, but we can hope that the switch to HD will help inject some scares into the staid gameplay. Either way, this is good news for Dead Space fans.
