Epic To Unveil New Gears of War Gameplay On VGA Awards

Spike TV's Video Game Awards are beginning to rival some of the industry's big conventions as an outlet for new announcements and world-exclusive trailers. Looks like this year's show (which airs on Spike live on Saturday, December 11 at 8PM EST/5PM PT) is going to be the most high-powered ever.

Today, Spike released this teaser trailer featuring Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski, who says the company will be showing off some new Gears of War gameplay during the show. He also says, "It's awesome. You're going to love it, and it's not what you're expecting."

Hmm...intriguing. Many expect that this might be the announcement of Kinect control being added to Gears of War 3. This makes some sense, as Cliffy distinctly says "new gameplay" and not "new game." However, he also says it's not what we're expecting and since some people already expect it, then it can't be that, right? Unless Cliffy knew we would figure that out and STOP expecting it, therefore making it something we weren't expecting again. *** you, Cliffy, you magnificent ***. Well played, sir...well played.
