Weekend Warrior 11/19/10
Feel free to read our masterfully written weekend plans below then tell us what games you're playing in the comments section!
Reiner: I should be able to finish off Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood this weekend, and if all goes as planned, hit level 30 in Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer. After that, if I have any time left, I’ll try to get a head start on next week’s games: GoldenEye and Donkey Kong Country Returns.
Bertz: With Halo:Reach on the shelves (better campaign than I expected given the last two games) I'm ready to throw on the Creedence and return to 'nam with Call of Duty: Black Ops. If my kill:death ratio spirals out of control given how rusty my COD skills are, I'll try to save some face by torching some kids in NBA Jam or NHL 11. If, that is, the temptation to pop open Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood doesn't overtake me and derail my previous plans.
Joe: I'm spending a lot of time with non-gamers this weekend, so I'm going to break out LEGO Harry Potter to try to sucker them into playing a game. If that doesn't work, I may have to resort to the heavy artillery and dust off my Wii to play some Wheel of Fortune. Don't worry – as Pat Sajak asks me if I'd like to buy a vowel, I'll really be thinking about how much I wish I could be playing Assassin's Creed instead.
Adam: Paula Bunyan (yep, I have the worst character names ever) will be
doing what she can to defend Metropolis and Gotham from Brainiac's evil
plans. Look me up on the DC Universe Online beta on the PvE server!
P.S. Plant/Rifle is awesome.
Bryan: Maybe I'll finally play that Assassin's Creed II DLC that I downloaded forever ago so that I can move on to Brotherhood.
Annette: Tonight I'm heading out with a few peeps to catch a screening of "The Room," one of the worst movies in cinematic history. Can't wait! I've also got about an hour left to complete in Mass Effect (yay!), so I can finally move on to the sequel. I also plan on playing some more Super Mario Galaxy 2 that I started earlier this week (sooooo good). Finally, I'm gearing up for my trip home to Chicago next week for the holiday.
Dan: Having surgery again on my *** tongue tonight, but that won’t stop me from seeing a midnight screening of “The Room.” I’m also planning on attending the drinking spelling bee tomorrow night before heading back to Kansas City for Thanksgiving.
Jeff M: This weekend I’m going to stab more dudes in the head in Assassin’s Creed II – ‘nuff said. I think I might buy a couple new tables in Pinball FX 2 as well, while I anxiously await the release of the new Marvel tables. I never thought I’d be so excited about video pinball.
Phil: I’m not sure how much time I’ll have for gaming this weekend, but all of it is going to Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Like it happened around this time last year, I’ve found myself totally pulled into the story of Ezio and have been unable to pull myself from the beautiful world of virtual Rome. I’m already closing in on 10 hours into the game, and I’ve barely made any story progress because I’m too busy collecting treasure and renovating the city. So yes, any chance that I have to play more this weekend, I’ll be taking it.
Hanson: I will most likely spend some more time with Spore and am seriously debating whether or not to fall back into the Starcraft-groove. Oh, and I’m going to play Donkey Kong Country Returns until my eyes bleed.
That's it for us! What are you playing this weekend?
