UPDATE: Nintendo 3DS Launching March 11, 2011?

UPDATE: The previously mentioned March 11, 2011 release date was photoshopped. GoNintendo (via Joystiq) has revealed the unaltered magazine page, which plainly reads as a March 2011 release date. Alright, move along people, there's nothing to see here.

ORIGINAL STORY: The recent issue of Official Nintendo Magazine has hit store shelves in the UK, and it reveals an interesting morsel of information. Previously we knew that the 3DS will be launching in America and the UK next March, but now we have reason to believe from the magazine that it will be March 11, 2011.

A picture of the magazine page in question can be found at VGTribune, and clear as day it reads "March 11, 2011." If you look at your calendar, however, you'll notice that March 11, 2011 is a Friday. This is suspicious because Nintendo usually releases big new products on Sundays. Is this a change in practice or a simple typo? Next year does end in "11," anyway, and mistakes happen.
