Beat Hazard Developer Working On Beat Hazard Ultra
I've never been shy about my love for the indie, music-meets-Geometry Wars game Beat Hazard. Given that, you can imagine my joy when I discovered today that developer Cold Beam Games is working on a follow-up titled Beat Hazard Ultra.
In an interview with Joystiq, Cold Beam Games CEO Steve Hunt revealed the new project. Hunt promises new enemy types, power-ups, and game modes in Beat Hazard Ultra. He's also adding in "the most requested feature" for the game: online play.
Beat Hazard remains one of my favorite discoveries of 2010 and a game that I go back to over and over again. I can't wait to see how the music-driven gameplay translates into online play. If you haven't checked out the original version of Beat Hazard yet, you can grab it on Steam for $9.99 or on Xbox Live Indie Games for 400 Microsoft points ($5).
