Indie Puzzler Auditorium Coming To XBLA, PSN
Who needs more synaesthetic puzzle games? You do! Or so indie developer Zoo Games thinks. Auditorium, an established PC/iOS puzzle game that has players messing around with a rudimentary physics simulation to divert streams of light into designated receptacles in increasingly tricky arrangements, will go live on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade on November 2.
The official site has a handy demo on the very front page, which gives a healthy taste of what the game is about. I can see myself spending some time with it, and I enthusiastically recommend the iPhone version* (which is free, and charges a buck apiece for individual level packs that come with unique soundtracks as well as puzzles) to anyone with an appreciation for heavily arpeggiated piano synth-concertos.
The $10 price point that Zoo is charging for the PS3 and 360 versions, however, requires further consideration.
*If I had any confidence whatsoever in my old 3G being able to run anything ever. Unfortunately, Apple has decided that 3G owners are unclean, and shouldn't be able to so much as open up their email without a ten-second delay much less play games. Rage.
