Metal Gear Solid Rising, Final Fantasy XIV Will Support 3D On PS3
Microsoft may have scored Metal Gear Solid Rising gold with the game's reveal at their E3 2010 press conference and the first live gameplay demo during their TGS 2010 keynote earlier tonight, but Sony had some Konami love of their own. At their TGS press conference, they revealed that MGS Rising will join Final Fantasy XIV and numerous other games in supporting 3D on the PlayStation 3.
During their conference, Sony debuted 3D trailers for both Metal Gear Solid Rising and Final Fantasy XIV. Both of these trailers were previously shown at E3, but the addition of 3D was new. Other 3D titles shown off during the press conference include Hot Shots Golf 5 and Gran Turismo 5.
Sony also announced that the PS3 will receive a firmware update in September that will add 3D Blu-ray support to the console.
