Ico And Shadow Of The Colossus HD Finally Confirmed By Sony, Now In 3D

We've heard rumors for what seems like years now, and it was even unofficially announced via a magazine earlier this week, but now Sony has finally officially acknowledged that they will be putting out HD ports of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

Sony showed a trailer for the HD versions of these PS2 classics during their TGS 2010 press conference. Hopefully we'll have a version of the trailer up soon, but we're told by people on the scene that it looked very nice.

Joystiq also reports that in addition to the HD upgrade, the re-released games will have new 3D support.

No release date was announced and there was no further news on if the rumor of it being split into two separate games instead of one package is true. As always, we'll report back as soon as we have any more information.
