Blue Castle Games Acquired By Capcom

Shortly after showing off the future of Dead Rising, Capcom announced that it had purchased Blue Castle Games, the Vancouver based company behind Dead Rising 2.

Capcom's managing corporate officer Keiji Inafune stressed Capcom's need to make games that feel like they come from Capcom's Japanese studios, yet have a western essence, something he feels Blue Castle Games has achieved with Dead Rising 2.

Following the acquisition, Blue Castle will be renamed Capcom Games Studio Vancouver. Prior to Dead Rising 2, Blue Castle developed MLB Front Office Manager, The Bigs, and The Bigs 2. Perhaps Dead Rising Baseball is in their future.
