2K Rebuffs Pachter Prediction, Says Mafia II Will Be Profitable

Earlier this week Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter predicted Mafia II would have a hard time achieving profitability. Today during an earnings call, Take-Two CEO Ben Feder rebuffed those claims.

"Based upon the initial launch, we expect this to be another profitable title for Take-Two," Feder said. While Feder didn't reveal any hard evidence in terms of the early sales data, his confidence is a promising sign. Mafia II released on August to 24 to mixed reviews, though we enjoyed the game.
