PS3s To Support 3D Blu-ray Playback In October
Early adopters will be pleased to find their PlayStation 3 units capable of pushing stereoscopic 3D via Blu-ray discs when Sony releases a firmware update enabling the technology in October.
Per Engadget's liveblogging ov Sony's IFA press conference, the company will be updating all of its PS3s and its most recent standalone Blu-ray players to display 3D images with appropriate displays.
Anyone out there have a (still prohibitively expensive) 3D setup that's pumped about this? Or is your wallet still hurting from the HDTV and current-gen console upgrades? I read somewhere about some kind of trouble with the economy or something along those lines.
