Google Buys SocialDeck

Amidst speculation that Google is trying to beat Facebook at its own game with the rumored Google Games, the company has bought social games developer SocialDeck.

SocialDeck has released games like Color Connect for Facebook, iPhone, and BlackBerry, and rang up over a million downloads last year. There is talk that this is just the latest move for Google as it prepares to launch its own social network site with games that would rival the likes of Farmville on Facebook.
