No Doom 4 at QuakeCon

Word from John Carmack's keynote at QuakeCon declares that id's long-awaited game isn't quite ready for prime time.

It couldn't be put any simpler. Doom 4 isn't ready, so it won't be shown at this year's QuakeCon. Last year, it was announced that the game would be showing up at the following year's show, but it appears that id is changing its tune, and the gaming world will have to wait a while longer to check out the fourth installment of one of gaming's oldest action franchises.
