Plotting The Xbox 360 Invasion Of China
Perhaps the only thing worse than not being able to sell your console in China due to a government edict that video games can rot your brain is the fact that people are buying it anyway on the black market – and you aren't seeing the profit.
Microsoft is trying to change this by working with the government to legally sell the Xbox 360 in China. It's working with government officials to make this possible, but there is no timetable for a launch. Good luck working with them on that – we have a feeling that this is where the term "red tape" comes from (bad pun intended).
For now, if you're Chinese you can make an Xbox 360 (probably for pennies a day), you just aren't allowed to play one.
