When it comes to football, the annual release of the new Madden game is about as big as the beginning of the regular season itself. EA Sports and developer Tiburon are celebrating Madden NFL 11's release with Madden Gras, a New Orleans-styled celebration of the new title and its Super Bowl-winning QB – New Orleans Saints' QB Drew Brees.

The event will feature parade floats, beads, gameplay kiosks; appearances from NFL stars like Marshall Faulk, Marcus Allen, Deuce McAllister (& Bobby Hebert...); bands (like Big Boi), and whatever else happens in New Orleans when beads are involved.

EA has also announced that it is donating $100,000 to The National Wildlife Federation to aid the oil spill cleanup efforts.
