Codemasters' Operation Flashpoint: Red River is headed to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC next year. Players will take on the role of infantry Marines entering into a fictional conflict in the country of Tajikistan against insurgents and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.

A single player or up to four online co-op partners can take on the three-act campaign which promises to be deeper and more story driven than last year's Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Codemasters promises more combat variety, player weapon load-out choice, more air support opportunities, better squad AI, tutorials, and more streamlined controls and inventory management.

The co-op campaign will be fully drop-in/drop-out and a new XP ranking system will provide distinct strings of upgrades for four playable classes including grenadier, rifleman, automatic rifleman, and scout.
