Fight Night Champion Heads To Ring In 2011

EA's Fight Night franchise is the greatest in video game boxing history. Now, it's coming back with Fight Night Champion, scheduled to release in 2011. The game promises to delve into the "seedier, darker" side of the sweet science. Most of this will be delivered through a new, improved single-player mode that promised to deliver the real-life drama of the sport. We imagine this will incorporate more character, story-driven elements, which would be a welcome addition.

Developer EA Canada is also redefining the series' already amazing control scheme with an overhaul they've dubbed "Full Spectrum Punch Control" which they say will offer even more speed, power, and real-world physics to the game. EA has already dubbed it the "most realistic punching system ever seen." While that might sound like a boast, EA's track record with the Fight Night franchise is nearly perfect.

Fight Night Champion will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
