How Can Sonic Go Even Faster?
Sonic’s nickname isn’t the Blue Blur for nothing – that hedgehog can run. In the upcoming Wii and Nintendo DS game, however, the hero is going to need some extra juice to take down Dr. Robotnik. Thankfully, an extraterrestrial species called Wisps are ready to help Sonic rocket towards the moon at speeds never before seen.
The little critter is orange and shaped like a rocket ship (with really creepy eyes). When collected, he allows Sonic to blast high up in the air, leaving an inferno of color in his wake. This upward propulsion sounds a little bit like the rocket attachment of Mario Sunshine’s F.L.U.D.D. device. We had a blast launching into the air with that game, and we can’t wait to do it again.
Sonic Colors is heading to Wii and DS later this year. To learn more, read my E3 2010 preview of the game.
