Star Wars: The Old Republic Now Testing In A Galaxy Near You

Are World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and Final Fantasy XIV not enough MMO beta action for you? No worries! LucasArts is happy to provide one more way to toss away hours of your life, as they've announced that testing has begun for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

A LucasArts representative clarified to Game Informer that they are not calling the current Old Republic testing a "beta," but it sounds pretty similar: Selected gamers will check out specific areas of the massive online game to help "balance and tweak content."

As with most beta tests, invitations will be sent out in waves, beginning with "smaller, more focused tests with community members from North America." If you don't make it in right now, there's hope for the future. We'll be readying out lightsabers and Force training with anticipation while we wait.
