New Professor Layton Title Trademarked

Hmm, this reminds us of a puzzle. If the third game in the original Professor Layton trilogy was called Professor Layton and The Last Time Travel in Japan and developer Level-5 just trademarked Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, how long will we have to wait to play the dang game?

Yes, it looks like the next entry in the puzzle series Professor Layton will be called Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, but Level-5 hasn’t made any official announcements. Should we expect some news at this year’s E3? Perhaps a release date?

It seems a little strange that the next Professor Layton title would feature a title change since the previous titles had more literally translated titles, but we’ll take the game no matter what it’s called. Japan always seems two Layton steps ahead of us, seeing as how both The Last Time Travel and a prequel, and the Specter's Flute, are already on store shelves in Japan.
