Thief Steals Super Street Fighter IV Tournament Footage

by Tim Turi on Apr 26, 2010 at 08:02 AM

Not even the menacing M. Bison or ultra cheap Seth would sink this low. Some desperate soul stole a buttload of recording equipment, and thus tons of fight footage, at the recent Super Street Fighter IV LA Fight Club event.

Participants formed a line as early as 9 a.m. for the event, which ran from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday, April 23. After the dust had settled and the winner had been announced. Capcom and i am 8-bit productions were stunned to find a laptop, two cameras, and loads of SD cards had gone missing. The real crime? All the lost tournament footage.

"We could care less about the equipment itself. It's the FOOTAGE THAT MATTERS," said i am 8-bit's founder, Jon Gibson.

He also confirmed that there is a cash reward being offered for the anonymous return of the footage. E-mail Jon Gibson at [email protected].
