Weekend Warrior 04/09/10
With the freight train of video game releases screeching to a halt, our plans for this weekend are kind of a hodge-podge. Take a look at what we have planned and you'll see... We've got everything from Deadly Premonition to P.B. Winterbottom ahead of us.
Reiner: The main focus for this weekend is to get my Battlefield: Bad Company 2 MP rank over 30. When evening hits, I'm switching over to Alan Wake. Go Cubs!
Bryan: I have a serious Borderlands co-op session scheduled for Sunday. It's taken a while to get through due to working out co-op times and the sheer length of the game. I also plan on getting further into P.B. Winterbottom.
Joe: My gaming time this weekend will probably be spent with Deadly Premonition. I've played the first 20 minutes or so, and it's horrible...but Jeff Cork keeps telling me it gets better, so I'll try to give it a fair shot. However, I'm still entertaining the possibility that Jeff is trying to turn my own BloodRayne 2 maneuver against me.
Dan: I've been in San Francisco for Konami Gamers Night most of this week, so I'm looking forward to taking it easy at home. My flight comes in late tonight so it's probably right to bed, but I'll be heading to Video Games Live on Saturday night with some GI folk. Looking forward to the show. I'm hoping it'll be more faithful to the games than the incessant humming of Sonic the Hedgehog stage music that comes from Tim Turi every day.
Annette: I have a few non-gamer friends rolling into town from Chicago this weekend so I probably won't spend as much time in front of my TV. I may however take them out to Video Games Live if I can get tickets for the three of us. This doesn't leave me much time to game before my shoulder surgery Wednesday because my parents will be coming into town early next week as well. May have to pull an all-nighter with my consoles on Sunday before my right arm goes on vacation.
Tim: Hoo boy. I am very nearly done with FFXIII. This will be the quickest I've ever beaten a Final Fantasy game if I get it down this weekend. I remember spending months upon months on these games. Other than that i downloaded Geometry Wars 2 on XBLA and hope to play some of that this weekend. I would also love to squeeze in more time to clean up my backlog for games. Also, I'm sitting right next to Dan at Video Games Live this weekend, and I can't wait to inform him about when my favorite parts of song are coming up. I'm going to hum so hard.
That's it for us. What are you playing this weekend?
