What is Sleep is Death? It's an experimental, story-focused, two-player only title from creator Jason Rohrer. Beyond that, it gets difficult to explain, but today is your last chance to pre-order the PC and Mac downloadable title – which means you could be playing it tomorrow.

The best way to understand the concept behind Sleep is Death is to watch this slideshow, which explains the game as as a turned-based adventure using a mixture of text and mouse interfaces. It is a two-player game, where one player interacts with the world and the second player responds to it.

The idea sounds compelling, and tomorrow you can try it for yourself...as long as you pre-order the game in the next few hours (which you can do at the game's official site). There are two big reasons to pre-order: it costs less ($9 instead of $14), and you can download it tomorrow instead of the official release date on April 16th.
