Magic And Bird In NBA Jam?

Two titans of the hardcourt from the short shorts era are coming out of retirement to school the young lads in the art of basketball.

Speaking to MTV Multiplayer's Russ Frushtick, NBA Jam creative director Trey Smith broke the news that the Hall of Fame Lakers and Celtics legends may appear in the throwback Wii title, saying "Whoever wins the [2010 NBA] championship, they'll be the second-to-last team, and then we'll have a legendary battle. Right now it's slated: Magic and Bird."

Given the series' tendency toward including random players like Bill Clinton and the Fresh Prince, here's to hoping Larry Legend and Magic aren't the only guest stars in the game. Who would you like to see?
