Winners: 2010 British Academy Video Games Awards

This past Friday saw the 2010 British Academy Video Game Awards dished out to many deserving developers. With the 2010 Game Developer Choice Awards in the not-so-distant past, it is interesting to compare and contrast what big games in 2009 were given accolades over the pond.

Most notably, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves still did developer Naughty Dog proud, taking home four awards total for best Action Game, Story, Original Score and Best Use of Audio. Batman: Arkham Asylum nabbed the most coveted prize, however – Best Game. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 lost out to Left 4 Dead 2 for best multiplayer, but took home the publicly voted GAME award. Prolific industry veteran Shigeru Miyamoto was also welcomed as an Academy Fellow this year, the highest honor of the ceremony.
