Weekend Warrior 03/19/10
This weekend the staff is playing a pretty solid mix of games that make it tough to declare one as most popular, so you'll have to read on to find out what we're playing. Then be sure to head over to the comments section and let us know your weekend game plan.
Meagan: My weekend will be spent primarily playing through some games for review, all of which I am excited to check out. In my free time, however, I need to finish off Bayonetta so I can return it to its proper owner (Sorry, Tim!) and am considering giving Demon's Souls a go after several glowing reviews by pretty much everyone. Guess I am feeling masochistic.
Dan: Now that I'm done with God of War III, Heavy Rain, Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, and Bad Company 2's single-player, my backlog has been whittled down significantly. With those out of the way, I'm gonna take it easy tonight and watch The Hurt Locker. Tomorrow, I'm heading to a gathering at Tim's place that may involve an inebriated attempt to play through Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. I'm afraid that this attempt may be so traumatic that I end up pulling a Kaczynski and turning against all technology.
Tim: This weekend I plan on absolutely murdering 3D Dot Game Heroes for review. I'm going to pepper in some Final Fantasy XIII, Perfect Dark HD... and God of War III is right around the corner. Also, I've been playing Sonic Classic Collection for DS on the john. It's fun.
Annette: I'm continuing my journey through Final Fantasy XIII and also spending some time with my copy of Pokemon SoulSilver. I'll occasionally get up to exercise and work out my Pokéwalker. I have a group of friends visiting from Chicago next week so I want to get as much gaming time in as possible before they invade my apartment!
Jeff M: I'm looking forward to spending some time on Bad Company 2's battlefields this weekend, and maybe playing a little L4D2 with my brother. The God of War III fever that's spreading through the office has also motivated me to keep plugging away at the God of War Collection. Maybe someday I'll play a game that doesn't involve slaughtering things...
Sean: I’m on the beach with my family. I’m officially AFK. No games, do not disturb.
Jeff A: Being out of the country for almost two weeks can really take you out of the loop with regard to gaming. I can’t say this weekend will be much better with everything that March Madness offers. But I’m hoping to put some more time into Phantom Hourglass (almost there!) as well as figuring out which PS3 title I should tackle next. The list is somewhat of a doozy: Heavy Rain, BioShock 2, Darksiders, Assassin’s Creed II, The Orange Box....ugh. We’ll see what the weekend brings I guess.
That's it for us. What are you playing this weekend?
