New Skate 3 Video Highlights Jason Lee...Er...Coach Frank
Alvin and the Chipmunk's star Jason Lee shows off his skating (and dating) skills in Skate 3. For those of you not in the skateboarding know, Jason was a professional skateboarder before he was an actor. This isn't his first appearance in a skateboarding video game, either. Lee's voice and likeness were also used in Tony Hawk's Project 8 (a.k.a. the last playable Tony Hawk game). In Skate 3, Lee plays the role of Coach Frank. This character will help players get a better understanding of skateboarding, and, as the video implies, women and men.
I'm hoping that Coach Frank's skate school is optional. I'm a Skate veteran, and nothing would grind my gears more than to have to dedicate hours learning the same skating fundamentals again. Sure, Lee's brand of humor could make the schooling entertaining, but hand-holding the player is one of the reasons the Tony Hawk series took a nosedive. Check out the video below for your first taste of Jason Lee's Coach Frank.
