Opening Day may still be more than a month away, but in the world of baseball video games, the World Series has already been played, and a champion has been named.

This year’s matchup was another David and Goliath story: Few gamers expected MLB 2K10 to stand a chance against MLB 10: The Show, given last year’s offerings. Sony’s baseball sim has shown a startling attention to detail, and its mind-bending (and possibly steroid-fueled) graphics are unparalleled.
