Crackdown 2 Trailer Packs In The Action

Microsoft has released a new trailer for Crackdown 2, and unlike the one from E3, this latest video actually shows off some gameplay.

The trailer opens with an Agent peacefully gliding to the city from above. That’s about the only quiet moment shown. The Agents have some serious new tools at their disposal this time around, and from the state that Pacific City is in, they’re going to need them. Players will be able to wield melee weapons, such as uprooted parking meters and barbells, and use them to knock mutants around. We also see the Mag grenades (tether weapons) in action,  stretching a cord between points, useful for turning a car into an impromptu wrecking ball. The trailer also shows a glimpse of a weapon that knocks enemies within its radius into the air, whereupon they disintegrate into particles. With all those mutants roaming the streets, this stuff’s definitely going to come in handy.
