PixelJunk Shooter Arriving Next Week

It's a holiday miracle! Fans of the PixelJunk line of downloadable games for PlayStation 3 have a new early Christmas present to get psyched about. Q-Games president Dylan Cuthbert has announced on the PlayStation Blog that PixelJunk Shooter will be released December 10.

Despite the name, PixelJunk shooter isn't just another Geometry Wars clone. Instead, you take on the role of a vehicle exploring underground caverns where you must rescue trapped survivors by unleashing streams of water and magma in the environment.

Even though Sony and Q-Games have yet to announce a price, if it's anything like the extremely affordable and fun previous PixelJunk releases, it will be more than worth it.
