Zombies are have had their time in the spotlight, up next for video game oversaturation is dinosaurs. First stop on the dino-train? Nazi Dinosaurs, of course! The folks over at Moddb have shed light on a new Half Life 2 mod brimming with prehistoric fascists, which is only a prelude to a full title in development.

Dino D-Day’s trailer contains dinosaur-punching and old-timely war propaganda footage, we highly recommend checking it out. The mod is available now for download for those interested in liberating our world from those Jurassic jerks. It looks pretty darn fun, so load up your 60 year old weapons for a fight against a 230 million year old menace. Or just put up yer dukes!

Ex-filmmaker and friend of Valve, Abe Scheuermann, is at the helm of Dino D-Day. Scheuermann is shooting for a 2010 release for the full game. Since he was in the film industry, maybe there’s hope for a movie version of the game in the future. Saving Private Rinconsaurus, anyone? Anyone?
