Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight Dated For March 16 Release

EA announced this morning that the latest installment of the long-running Command & Conquer series will release on March 16 of next year. Tiberian Twilight may sadly lack sparkling vampires diamond golems and whiny teenagers, but it will put an endcap on the Tiberium saga.

Fans who preorder C&C 4 will gain access to the upcoming beta as well as the game's soundtrack and access to a bonus prequel mission.

Set after the invasion of the alien Scrin and with the Earth in danger of being overwhelmed by the spread of Tiberium, C&C 4 sees a once again resurrected Kane working with the GDI to save the human race. There is no word yet on how many Battlestar Galactica alums will be featured in the hammy live-action videos, though it seems unlikely (and unfortunate) that Billy Dee Williams will reprise his skeezy politician role.

C&C 4 also boasts an innovative 5v5 objective-based multiplayer mode that we can't wait to get our hands on. Here's hoping that beta starts soon!
